Fifty ways to say FAREWELL!!

Todays the day! The sun is shining! The tank is clean and we.. the tank is clean.. the tank is clean! (ten brownie points for anyone who knows that quote)

But today really was the day.. Farewell time! Personally, I think that this was probably the hardest part about preparing for a mission so far. I was really nervous today for some reason and I'm hardly ever nervous speaking in front of crowds being a communications major.

It was really nice to see people that I haven't since school got out, as well. Some people had a really far drive but I really appriciate the fact that they came:) Love Snow College Friends! It made it that much more special for me today! And to day was amazing! (if any of you need food or cake I'm sure we will have some left over for forever to come..)

Funny story time..
So I have been to 4 farewells today (really 3 but who's counting). Megan Jensen, Chase Christensen, Logan and Mine. Anyways, on my way back from Centerfield after Megan's I was flipping through radio stations and the song "50 Ways to say Goodbye" came on. My first thought was of the last radio show I did with a friend this past semester where we really did tell our listeners 50 ways to say goodbye throughout our two hour shift. Then my next thought was "Someone should put together a video with missionaries saying farewell to friends and family in a somewhat comical/humorous/musical/all-around-awesome way. That would be pretty sweet......" then I drifted off in thought with just the awesomeness that would happen with this.
So that is a shout out to cool people everywhere. If someone wants to be the most amazing person I know, make it happen:)

Other than that.. today has been really uneventful.. probably because not much of the day has been left to make it eventful haha thanks again to everyone who come down. You all are amazing!

Life and times of the ultimate procrastinator..

So I've realized I've been procrastinating.. a lot.. and I apologize to those I've affected. Truth be told, I'm not procrastinating on anything major. I'm just horrible at writing letters and sending packages. I hope to change this when I'm on my mission and I have a set time to write/read/send letters..

Anyways, my farewell is tomorrow and I'm hoping it'll be at least kinda, sorta, maybe a little bit good. I just am not the best at giving talks in church. Hope you all like stories because I think that it's the majority of it haha but not much time to write tonight so I'll update everyone tomorrow night:)

11 days left!

Keep Calm?

How can I keep calm with only 13 days left?!?! Easy for them to say.. haha

Just found this on the "Many Are Called but Few Are Sisters" page on Facebook posted by a sister who will be serving in Virginia leaving the same day as me. The wonderful world of fb is usually just a waste of time in my personal opinion other than to catch up with old friends or family that lives quite a ways away. Ever since I joined this group, however, my view has changed. I love this page and have met with and talked to several amazing sisters that I will serve with come June 5th. I have also talked to other sisters from around the world and it is just amazing to talk to other girls that have the same passion for this gospel as I do.

Oh! I also just found out that my friend and former Gunnsion Bulldog Logan Adams is leaving for the MTC the same day as me:) Being in the same ward that means that we will have our farewells on the same day! (this Sunday) I am really excited for him as he is serving in the Philippines Tacloban Mission! My dad served in the Philippines so I think that it is really neat that he will be serving there. Although I am nervous for Sunday because of the fact he is a very eloquent speaker and has a flair for the poetic. Heard him speak at graduation last year and it was really good. We'll see how it all goes BUT this means that I most likely do not have to give a 20 minute talk like I was told I was scheduled for so I thank you, Logan:)

Time is running out for time here but I can't wait to head to that MTC in Provo! Write you all later!

About Time . .

So I figured since I ONLY have two weeks left before I leave that I should join the crowd and make my own Sister Missionary blog. I've seen several and I figured that it would be better than sending out a mass e-mail to everyone so here you all go:) The countdown is really beginning now..

I cannot tell everyone how excited I am to be serving a mission for the church that I love! I can't even tell myself, I'm so excited!

Until next time!
